Who I work with

Eastbourne Association of Voluntary Services (EAVS) works with the groups from Voluntray and Community Sector in Eastbourne area in a whole range of ways. EAVS attends meetings such as the Liaison Group meetings to enable the statutory partners to find out more about voluntary and community sector activity and capability in Eastbourne and to be able to feedback to the sector about statutory events, schemes of work and consultations.

Eastbourne constituency is also represented by Marie Tomblin representing Eastbourne Community Network, which provides direct feedback to and from the voluntary and community sector groups in Eastbourne.

Who I work with

Marie Tomblin is a Community Development Coordinator at EAVS and is supporting together with her team Eastbourne Community Network (ECN). The network provides opportunities for the sharing of information and resources and for joint working. The Network offers an effective communication link for Voluntary and Community groups and a structure through which the Sector can make its voice heard in local planning and decision making.

Eastbourne Community Network is a network of networks and groups in Eastbourne, enabling voluntary and community groups to have a representative voice within decision making bodies and to help shape the services Eastbourne receives from public agencies.
