A number of projects have been set up to help implement the Infrastrcuture Development Plan.

Sustainabilitiy Review

The first stage of the sustainability review attempts to identify the range of services
provided by Local Infrastructure Organisations to Front-line Voluntary and Community Organisations, 
at a district or borough level and across the county as a whole. It also considers the type of funding and/or
business models that would help to sustain servicesin the long term.

Additional Support

The project aims to identify and develop a strategic response to the infrastructure and development
needs within BME communities including faith groups, asylum seekers/refugees and Gypsy and Traveller people.

Quality Initiative

The project aims to develop a clear picture of which Quality Standards, Frameworks, and Models LIOs are
operating and to accelerate quality standards in the provision of infrastructure services to frontline organizations. 
The approach is to provide local sharing of policies, standards and training.

Sector promotion       

Research to identify the scope and scale of frontline VCOs across the county and their infrastructure support
and training needs. Rural physical facilities.

Workforce skills strategy

This project will carry out research on the competency, skills and knowledge required by Voluntary and Community
Organisations. Also identifying the training needs of paid staff, trusttees and volunteers, where they access training and where
the gaps are.

Rural Physical facilities

Research rural communities, and peri-urban neighbourhoods, where there is a convergence of poor access to services and
low quality or absent physical facilities. Develop a consortium approach to bidding for capital resources to address the needs
that are identified.

Volunteering

To review current provision of Volunteer Development Agency services, particularly in terms of organisational
structures and County coverage, and identify ways in which joint working might achieve greater efficiency and
effectiveness in the longer term.
