Marmot Review
The Marmot Review had four tasks:
- to identify evidence most relevant to underpinning policy to meet challenges posed by ‘health inequalities';
- To show how this evidence could be translated into practice;
- Advise on objectives and measures that could build on current PSA targets in infant mortality and life expectancy;
- Publish a report of the Review's work to contribute to a post 2010 health inequalities strategy.
The Review tries to show a way forward to reduce disparity in the quality of peoples' lives, identify deficits and determine what needs to be done, and explores changes of emphasis that are needed.
