More about SpeakUp

The SpeakUp Forum brings together representatives, each with a mandate derived from a significant section of the voluntary and community sector. It will enable an exchange on information and views for the benefit of the sector.

One of the main aims of the Forum is to develop a county wide representation for the voluntary and community organisations in East Sussex. Representatives at the SpeakUp Forum are members or employees of a voluntary and community organizations that work in county. Nevertheless they do not merely represent their own organization but derive a mandate from a wider constituency. They meet every two months to dicuss the important issues for the sector that are being decided about on the county level.
The SpeakUp Forum also organises four big networking events a year when all the organisations form the county can meet together, network, take part in workshops and discussing groups.

All the work of the Forum also helps in developing a good practice in the filed of representation.

You can read more about the structure of the forum and it's main aims in SpeakUp Forum Info Sheet (Word document) and meet the current SpeakUp Representatives

We have developed a few other usefull documents. We try to keep them all brief and write them in a simple language so they are interesting to read.
