East Sussex Strategic Partnership (ESSP) brings together different parts of our local community - public services, local businesses, community groups, voluntary sector organisations and local people.
It was set up in 2000 to help organisations and individuals work together in a co-ordinated way to plan local services, tackle the issues that matter to local people and improve qualityLearning about what you are doing well and doing it better; finding out what you may need to change to make sure you meet the needs of your users more effectively. of life in East Sussex .

ESSP Executive Board
There are two represnetatives from the sector who are members of ESSP Executive Board on behalf of the Countywide SpeakUp Forum - Steve Manwaring and Steve Hare. Please visit SpeakUp representatives pages for more infor about them.
Rural and faith communities have an additional representation - Ian Chisnal (Churches Together) and Jeremy Leggett (AirS)
The Executive Board provides overall strategic direction, which includes preparing and monitoringCollecting and recording information in a routine and systematic way to check progress against plans and enable evaluation. the Community Strategy and Local Area AgreementLocal Area Agreements are a programme from the ODPM to simplify the number of funding streams from central government. By focussing on a core set of outcomes, an area has much greater freedom to spend on local priorities..

The East Sussex Assembly
There are also Countywide groups who are members of The East Sussex Assembly. The Assembly advises the Executive Board on local concerns, shared priorities and future action. The Assembly meets at least once a year.
