Transport in East Sussex
Local Transport Plan 3 (LTP 3) 2011 to 2026
East Sussex third Local Transport Plan (LTP3) will shape the future of transport in East Sussex from 2011 to 2026. The broad aims of LTP3 take into account both local and national transport goals. These include:
- improving economic competitiveness and growth
- tackling climate change
- improving safety, health and security
- providing sustainable transport opportunities to enhance social inclusion
- improving quality of life.
ESCC asked for your views on our plans to make transport greener, safer and more accessible for everyone. To read more about the outcomes of the consultation go to http://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/yourcouncil/consultation/2010/ltp3/default.htm

Health Transport
From April 2012 NHS Sussex will no longer be providing free transport for patients going to hospital appointments unless there is a medical need. This may pose a particular problem for people living in rural areas and without access to private transport. The CVSs in East Sussex are looking at how NHS Sussex can work with community transport providers to try and meet this new need. For further information contact Jenny Watson at 3VA on 01323 419 788 or email jenny.watson@3va.org.uk.
Community Transport Week
