‘The Big Event 2012. Bridging the Gap between Policy Reforms and Practice.’
Annual conference and Advice Fair for voluntary and community sector groups and organizations across East Sussex. Tuesday March 13th, 2011, Winter Gardens, Eastbourne, 9:40am - 2:30pm
The Big Event 2012 was organised to give local organisations an opportunity to better understand recent national reforms, identify opportunities and engage in dialogue with both the public sector and other voluntary organisations. The conference speakers and round table workshops focused on two key areas: Health & Social Care and Welfare & Legal Aid. This was accompanied by an Advice Fair offering hands on support to local groups and information about free and low-cost services available. The event was attended by over 185 participants and received very positive feedback.
